Beavs pushing hard for Louisiana DT

Defensive tackle depth is tough to come by at any level of football but those schools that have it often seem to be a notch above the rest of the country. Oregon State's coaches are looking far and wide for some help at the position and they've found a player they like in the heart of Dixie.

The Deep South is home to some of the nation's top talent but it's rare for prospects to leave that area for another part of the country. There aren't too many examples of top-tier players from, say, Louisiana, spurning SEC offers to head out to Pac-12 country.

However, you'll never win those battles if you're not in the game.

That seems to be the thinking behind Oregon State's offer to Antonio McGhee, a 6-foot, 275-pound defensive tackle from Bossier City (La.) Parkway.
