Boston College hires Addazio

Temple's Steve Addazio has been hired to become the new head football coach at Boston College, according to multiple reports.
Addazio, who compiled a 13-11 record in his two seasons with the Owls, will be replacing Frank Spaziani, who was dismissed after going 21-29 in four seasons.

According to multiple sources familiar with the situation, Addazio was set to meet with his soon-to-be former players at 5 p.m. Tuesday evening.
News of Addazio's hire at Boston College comes exactly one week after he reaffirmed his commitment to Temple and spoke about how excited he was to coach a team that had several emerging freshmen, including linebackers Nate Smith and Tyler Matakevich.
"I don't think I've ever been more energized my coaching career than I am right now," Addazio said last week in what turned out to be his final press conference with the Philadelphia media.
