Talking about the Tar Heels

Now that Temple knows its bowl opponent, several players were made available to the media Tuesday at the team's Edberg-Olson Hall football complex to talk about playing North Carolina in the upcoming Military Bowl on Dec. 27.

The Owls, who come into the matchup at 8-4, will be facing a 6-6 Tar Heels team that gained bowl eligibility by beating Mercer and then North Carolina State in the last two weeks of their regular season. North Carolina battled then-No. 1 Clemson in a 21-20 loss back on Sept. 28 and also features one of the top freshmen quarterbacks in the country in ACC Rookie of the Year Sam Howell.

"This is who we wanted to play the whole time," said senior linebacker Chapelle Russell, one of several players to talk Tuesday.
